I had the pleasure of taking the senior photos of this amazing young lady below last Saturday. She wanted to go to Watkins Woolen Mill State Park in Lawson, Missouri and it could not have been a better backdrop for her special day. We started out with a few photos near the lake and several more along a fence line before heading back to this beautiful rustic bridge we found along the way. We dodge a few cars but ultimately was able to get some amazing images. The light was perfect and here is a sample of one of the images along with the behind the scenes setup.

Today I had the pleasure of capturing a few images of our granddaughters. It was a beautiful day so we decided to run up the street to Unity Village. I just let them do their own poses and not push them so I could capture them doing what they do best. Laugh and play.

I have been a photographer for over twenty years and because I have a full time job as an Interaction Designer and Corporate Photographer I never gave much thought to expanding my freelance business. Well this month I have decided to take a leap of faith and see where this adventure takes me. I have been fortunate enough to have my corporate work published in the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, MSNBC and the Kansas City Star. Recently I fell back in love with portrait photography and that new spark is what has me excited about capturing that perfect moment in time.
